i just love springtime and summertime.
even though i don't technically get a summer anymore...
this time of year still feels different. and i like it.
why, you ask? well these are (or a few of) my reasons:
1.) baseball, of course (go braves!)
2.) driving with window's down
3.) lemonade and strawberry lemonade mmm...
4.) the warm breeze and sunshine
5.) church softball
6.) snow cones
7.) sitting on the front porch
8.) grilling out, heck yeah
the ony set backs are:
1.) tornados! ugh!
2.) and mesquitos.
3.) also, i have no backroading buddies here. sad.
any way you look at it...the pro's definately out weigh the cons!
just as i suspected...

While I was reading your post, I was all set to leave you a comment scorning you for not mentioning backroading as a reason you love summer. Then I read your last point and everything is ok now. Miss you!!

you should combine backroading and tornadoes into one- storm chasing!
Here are some of the things that people describe when they tell about a tornado experience:
* A sickly greenish or greenish black color to the sky.
* If there is a watch or warning posted, then the fall of hail should be considered as a real danger sign. Hail can be common in some areas, however, and usually has no tornadic activity along with it.
* A strange quiet that occurs within or shortly after the thunderstorm.
* Clouds moving by very fast, especially in a rotating pattern or converging toward one area of the sky.
* A sound a little like a waterfall or rushing air at first, but turning into a roar as it comes closer. The sound of a tornado has been likened to that of both railroad trains and jets.
* Debris dropping from the sky.
* An obvious "funnel-shaped" cloud that is rotating, or debris such as branches or leaves being pulled upwards, even if no funnel cloud is visible.
*rarely, people report being whisked away to the technicolor world of munchkinland in the land of Oz. However, this could be linked to the prevalent use of crystal meth in trailer parks.
